I’ve spent over 30 years at the intersection of heavy industry and precision engineering. My career wasn’t built in a classroom alone, but on the shop floor, working with and understanding the physics of manipulating metal on a 280-tonne press, and the complexities of manufacturing, repairing and Dynamic Balancing high-speed rotating equipment, and hydraulic rods and cylinders.
As the founder of Phoenite, I did so with a single mission: to provide The Technical Truth.
As an independent inspector and consultant I have no repair bias. I don’t sell spare parts, and I don’t have a machining contract to protect. My only objective is to provide you with an accurate, forensic assessment of your assets so you can make informed, safe, and cost-effective decisions.
Whether I am performing Dye Penetrant testing to find hairline surface cracks or using drone technology to inspect a high-access roof structure, I apply the same level of mechanical rigor. I bridge the gap between “tacit knowledge” gained over decades and the digital precision of modern engineering.

Engineering Pedigree:
I hold an HND in Mechanical Engineering with Management from the University of Bradford (1998) and have 30 years of hands-on experience in cold-straightening, manual machining, CNC programming / setting, and CAD.
Forensic Toolset:
From 3-phase electrical fault finding, to aerial inspections, I use a diverse tech stack — Including Fusion 360 for “as-built” documentation – to ensure nothing is missed.
Safety First:
I operate with full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance, ensuring that my advice and my on-site presence meet the highest UK standards.

An inspection is only as good as the data it produces. My reports are designed to be clear, actionable, and archived. I don’t just tell you what is wrong; I help you understand why it happened and how to monitor it moving forwards.
